Amber drop of light
poplar leaves against the deep sky
splashed out like stains of wine
as if to describe
what happened last night
Your smell came to me
from the wells
of bitter-sweet memory
leaning like blue notes
we found comfort in the maze
veering off the road
roaring through the plains
I saw siluettes dancing
in the setting sun
the breeze, the smoke rising
and the thud of a solemn drum
in my gut
the lonely echo of a gun
in my head
But the beauty will clean it out again
like the rain washed away the weekend
and beauty is here for all
We were finding our own way
even when we didn't know
we were palm trees in the rain
and I still feel your glow
We were palm trees in the rain
always out of place
tangled atom lover, feel the space
sit with the pain
take my heart
watch me fade
I'll see you home some day

Really nice. It all happens so naturally and beautifully. I love the constant movement and simultaneous tranquility, the lack of conventional phrasings and just the quality, feel and colors of it all Ferdi Ribes
